As for the parts, the bike has a very fine equipment. It is a nice frame indeed, with its cut-out lugs or the semi wrap around seat stay caps. The frame has been built using Raleigh 531 butted tubes and was painted in the typical Team Raleigh colours.

This particular Raleigh Team Professional is one of those bikes manufactured in 1977 in the Carlton factory in Worksop. In these years several 10- and 12-speed models tried to give amateurs and professionals alike the possibility to join the ranks of Raleigh road bike racers and especially the team coloured bikes sold very well. Success does not come without fans and admirers who are keen to identify themselves with the stars and some marketing to feed their needs. Many famous champions rode in this équipe, among them Joop Zoetemelk, Jan Raas, Gerrie Knetemann, Hennie Kuiper, Dave Lloyd, Urs Freuler, Johan van der Velde and Didi Thurau. At the peak of sportive triumph stood the Dutch cycling Team TI Raleigh which was extremely successful from the 1970s to the 1980s. Not only is Raleigh one of the oldest cycling brands of the world but it is also popular for its racing heritage. All parts have been checked and are working fine. The frame has no dents, no cracks and it is not bent. The original paint has some scratches from normal usage and quite a few touch up spots. Condition: The bike is in good condition.
